RX-80 Hot Knife & Hole Punch Combo

The Hot Knife & Hole Punch Combo model is a general-purpose combination hot knife and single hole punch that will cut and seal woven and knitted synthetic materials to prevent fraying. It is also an ideal product when occasional hole punching is required. Several models are available in standard and long arm frames. Not recommended for production use in punching holes. For high volume hole punching, we recommend using either models RX-75 or RX-95.

MATERIALS NOTICE: Most of these machines use thermal tooling made of brass alloy and cannot be used with materials that contain any halogen compounds such as PVC. Please contact us for alternate tooling options.

NOTE: These models require a readjustment of the knife when changing from cutting to hole punching. ï»¿

RX-80-BHL

 

RX-80-BHL uses a heavy duty 4.25" (110mm) brass hot knife modified to accept any of our punch collets from 1/8" dia. to 1/2" diameter.  Will cut synthetic materials up to 3/4" (20mm) thick. Includes 2 standard punch collets.

RX-80-SHL

RX-80-SHL uses a heavy duty 4.25" (110mm) stainless steel hot knife modified to accept any of our punch collets from 1/8" dia. to 1/2" diameter.  Will cut synthetic materials up to 3/4" (20mm) thick. Includes 2 standard punch collets.

RX-84-BHM

 

A LONG-ARM version of the RX-80-BHL but with a longer (7.1"/182mm) heavy-duty knife and frame for extra work space.

RX-84-SHM

​

Same as the model above but with a stainless steel knife.

Webcutter Hinges

Our hinges are one of the most important components of the Webcutter hot knife. They must allow free movement of the rotating knife without excess play for hundreds of thousands of cycles. These hinges have gone through several design improvements over the years, as shown below. To adjust them, note the video to the right of the hinge type.
