Automatic Strip Cutting Machines

NOVA TECH designs and manufactures many types of standard and modular strip cutting machines.

 

Our automatic strip cutters are available in three general model series:

 

RX-100 Series STANDARD General Purpose cutters in HOT KNIFE or COLD KNIFE (guillotine)

RX-200 Series ENHANCED Configurable/Modular cutters in HOT KNIFE, COLD (guillotine) or ULTRASONIC

RX-240 Series ENHANCED Configurable/Modular heavy-duty cutters in HOT KNIFE, COLD (guillotine), ULTRASONIC, and ARAMID

Controls: All automatic cutters use incorporate color touchscreen controls . RX-100 models use Standard touchscreen controls  RX-200 and RX-240 model use  Enhanced touchscreen controls and software with the following differences:

STANDARD (RX-100 models):​

Standard models include basic functions for measuring, cutting and counting, as well as:

• Anti-jam - prevents materials from sticking to the knife or anvil after the cut cycle.

• Adjustable cut dwell - user entered adjustable cut dwell time

• Adjustable post-cut dwell - user entered adjustable index dwell time

• Length acceleration - user entered acceleration profile 

• End of material sensor - photosensor stops machine when material is not present

ENHANCED (All models):

Enhanced models include all of the above as well as:

• Multiples production counter - the cut counter will index by 1, 2 or 3 for cutting multiple strips

• Batch Cut - cut multiple lengths and quantities to maximize material utilization and minimize waste

• Registration Cutting* - with an optional sensor, the machine will register the cut to a printed mark

• Splice Detection - with an optional sensor, the machine will locate and remove a material splice.

• "One Shot"* - with an optional switch the machine will index and cut on demand

• Programmable memory - save frequently used program recipes for instant recall.

• Index assist* and Cut assist* - with optional air components, the machine will index and eject difficult materials such as ribbon

• Stack Light* - add an optional stack light to alert factory staff when a machine is running or stopped

• Marking* - cut and make multiple marks simultaneously with a simple pneumatic pen marking devices.
